Sharks 2025-26 Game 19 Recap: Kraken 4, Sharks 1 (11/15/25)

Team Teal closes out its current three-game road trip with a 4-1 loss to the Seattle Kraken

The Kraken struck first at around eight minutes into the opening period via Jaden Schwartz, while the Sharks responded with 18 seconds remaining in the first period on a power play goal by Alexander Wennberg for his fifth goal of the season, assisted by Macklin Celebrini and William Eklund. Late in the second period, Seattle scored twice via Adam Larsson and Eeli Tolvanen 38 seconds apart to give themselves a 3-1 advantage. Prior to the Kraken taking a two-goal lead, the Sharks almost took the lead on a goal by Will Smith, but the refs disallowed it because they determined that there was a distinct kicking motion on that goal even though there was no kicking motion. Lastly, with about three and a half minutes left in regulation, the Kraken put this one away and got their revenge from their matchup with the Sharks last week on a shorthanded empty-netter by Jaden Schwartz for his second goal of the contest to make it 4-1.

Alex Nedeljkovic is back with the Sharks after taking a brief leave of absence from the team due to a personal matter, compiling 19 saves on 22 shots against. In addition, Jeff Skinner has been placed on injured reserve, Zack Ostapchuk has been recalled from the Barracuda, and Jakub Skarek has been re-assigned to the Barracuda.

Despite being unable to solve Philipp Grubauer when he entered the Kraken net in place of the injured Matt Murray to start the second period, the Sharks performed better tonight than in their previous game the other night in Calgary, outshot the Kraken 26-23, and avoided getting shut out for a second straight game. San Jose returns home next week to begin a four-game homestand starting on Tuesday against the Utah Mammoth at 7 pm PT.
