It's official: Sharks 2025 no. 2 overall pick Michael Misa has signed his three-year, entry-level contract with San Jose.
Ever since he was drafted and partook in the Sharks' prospect scrimmage this summer, Misa had his sights set on making the NHL in 2025-26. He will be heading into training camp, this weekend's rookie faceoff, and the preseason later this month competing for a roster spot, and Misa has a great chance to make the Sharks roster next season. He will likely make the NHL but have development days early on in the season like Will Smith last season. With 62 goals, 72 assists, and 134 points in 65 games with the Saginaw Spirit en route to being the Canadian Hockey League's top scorer last season, Michael Misa has absolutely nothing left to prove in juniors. He has the skill and compete level to potentially make a run for the Calder Trophy next season, and Michael Misa should receive every opportunity to shine with the Sharks in his rookie campaign. I am certainly looking forward to seeing Michael Misa perform with the Sharks in the coming months and foreseeable future.
